Helen Fleischer recently graduated from Oberlin Conservatory of Music with a degree in Horn Performance. In 2017 Helen participated and competed in LaunchU, Oberlin's start-up accelerator, where she was awarded second place and seed funding for IntimaQ. Helen is passionate about creating validating and affirming underwear for the queer community.
While interning at an NYC luxury fur studio in 2015, Billie realized that the world of fashion, as glamorous as it may be, was out of reach for most of her trans siblings. After graduating from the University Texas Austin with a BS in Textiles and Apparel, Billie decided to stay in Austin to pursue a career in tailoring for primarily queer and transgender customers. Through creating comfortable, reliable, and affordable underwear, she believes her work with IntimaQ will allow her to use her skills to directly impact the working class transgender community
Formally trained in social psychology & classical violin at Oberlin College & Conservatory, Stats is a researcher at heart. While at Oberlin, they wrote their thesis on attitudes towards transgender people, and have since continued to seek opportunities to do research for the benefit of the queer community. As a user researcher at IntimaQ, they look forward to utilizing qualitative and quantitative feedback from IntimaQ’s community to create product insights that will help improve the lived experiences of fellow LGBTQ+ individuals.
Niko is a fourth year engineering major at Oberlin College. Outside of their studies, Niko founded Oberlin's first student group for queer individuals in STEM. Niko is passionate about exploring fashion, the intersection between gender norms and clothing, and influences on dysphoria. As a member of IntimaQ, they aim to create a community and dialogue surrounding our mission of comfort and confidence in clothing for the queer community.
